Niseko jobs available with Sea And Summit Collective – media house, guiding, Hokkaido travel services and destination marketing. We are always looking for experienced guides, creatives, marketing and operations staff to join our team. Our company provides epic guided outdoor experiences for Hokkaido visitors as well as commercial photography, video production, travel services, digital marketing consulting and destination marketing for the travel & tourism industry in Hokkaido.
From deep powder winters to temperate summers, our goal is to share the beauty of Hokkaido and provide unforgettable experiences for visitors from overseas, and to help our commercial clients tell stories through high-impact visuals and strategic digital marketing campaigns.
Role Overview
We’re seeking full-time mountain guides to join our team for the 2026-2027 winter season in one of the most epic snow destinations on the planet. The Mountain Guide is responsible for leading clients safely in the resorts, lift-accessed backcountry, alpine and backcountry environments during winter operations. The role requires expert technical skills, strong risk management, excellent guest service, and the ability to operate within Japanese regulations and company safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Safety and Risk Management
- Assess avalanche conditions, weather, terrain, and group ability
- Plan safe routes and objectives
- Conduct daily hazard assessments
- Manage pacing, terrain choices, and group dynamics
- Deliver high-quality customer service to international clients
- Manage emergency situations and potential evacuations
- Carry and maintain required safety equipment
- Perform avalanche rescue if necessary
- Enforce safety rules with clients
- Make conservative decisions when conditions deteriorate
- Complete incident reports when required
What We’re Looking For
- Recognized guiding certification (e.g., JMGA, IFMGA, NZMGA, ACMG, etc.)
- Avalanche training (minimum Ops Level 1 or Pro 1 equivalent)
- Current wilderness first aid certification or equivalent
- Strong skiing/snowboarding ability in off-piste terrain
- Experience guiding in alpine or backcountry environments
- Fluent English (Japanese or other languages advantageous)
Nice to Have
- Previous Experience working in Niseko and Hokkaido
- Knowledge of Niseko area resorts, lift-accessed backcountry and backcountry routes and terrain
- A valid International Driver’s Permit
- Passion for sharing the joy of skiing/snowboarding with private guests

Role Overview
We’re seeking full-time creatives for the 2026-2027 winter season to provide our guest services for resort and lift-accessed backcountry guided photography or videography. We are also hiring full and part-time creatives in all seasons to capture visually compelling still images and produce video edits to showcase our range of customer experiences, and assist in our destination marketing efforts to promote Niseko and Hokkaido to overseas visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide epic guest experiences such as guided on-mountain, resort and lift-accessed photography and/or videography for Hokkaido visitors
- Private portrait, event and other guest services photography and videography
- Capture and edit high-quality photo and video content to support Sea and Summit Collective’s brand, experiences, internal and client campaigns for website, youtube, Instagram posts, Reels, stories, blogs, and EDMs and our travel agent partners
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan campaigns with high quality visuals
- Identify potential projects and and maintain a robust and organized media library
- Help supply the company’s website and SNS channels with fresh images, visual storytelling, and new content for @seaandsummitcollective (experience provider) and @nisekojapan (destination marketing account)
- Participate in shoots, location scouting, and on-assignment field work across Hokkaido
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience and portfolio in photography, videography, and creative, short-form video editing
- Proficiency with tools such as Davinci Resolve, Lightroom, Premiere Pro (after effects)
- Design experience with Adobe Suite, Canva, or similar to create graphic designs and image carousels
- Portfolio that demonstrates creative visual storytelling, particularly in travel, lifestyle, or adventure
- For winter work – Expert-level skiing or snowboarding skills and the ability to operate camera gear in cold, snowy conditions, both in resort and in the backcountry in a range of weather conditions
- Strong understanding of Instagram, Reels, trends, YouTube and short-form video content
Nice to Have
- Drone, gimbal, POV/Follow Cam Experience
- Experience working with outdoor and adventure brands, ski resorts, or travel & tourism companies
- Passion for outdoor travel, adventure, and Hokkaido’s unique lifestyle
- For winter – Avalanche safety and Wilderness Medicine/Advanced First Aid training/certifications

Role Overview
We’re seeking a Marketing Specialist to lead our company’s marketing efforts across all channels. This role focuses on strategy, messaging, execution, and communication. You’ll collaborate with our in-house creatives to manage seasonal campaigns, identify and coordinate visual media projects, manage and update our website, implement continuous SEO strategies, source and manage relationships with external partners, and communicate our message across our website, social channels and to our booking partners, travel agents and OTA’s.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute seasonal marketing campaigns across web, social media, and EDMs
- Collaborate with our content creator to identify and create visual media
- Keep the company website up to date with current and future products and services
- Implement and manage SEO strategies
- Write and manage regular blogs and email newsletters (EDMs) to market our services and promote Niseko and Hokkaido to inbound visitors
- Manage our social media accounts:
- @seaandsummitcollective (outdoor experiences provider)
- @nisekojapan (destination marketing)
- Monitor trends, analytics, campaign performance, and create reports and suggest modifications
- Business development – identify, contact and support our booking agents, travel agents and OTAs.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in digital marketing, SNS management, and EDMs, with a proven track record of success
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Confident in coordinating with internal and external teams
- Self-starter with strong motivation and the ability to work independently
- Comfortable finding and managing outsourced professional assistance if needed
- Web design, SEO, etc.
- Fluent in English (Japanese is a plus)
Nice to Have
- Background in travel/tourism, the snow sports industry/ski resorts, or outdoor/adventure brands
- Familiarity with tools like Mailchimp, Canva, WordPress, Instagram, Meta Business Suite
- Project management skills
