Our Backcountry Snowmobile Tours are built for guests who want to experience the Niseko backcountry without the need for long hours hiking a skin track or breaking trail. Think untracked powder, as well as fun and varied terrain – open bowls, perfectly spaced trees, rollers, and more. This is your very own playground for a day.
Using snowmobiles, our guides access untouched zones well beyond the often busy resorts. Even on peak powder days you’ll access untracked lines (6-8) all day, because groups max out at 8 lucky individuals. Guests ride tandem with their guides on the ascent, then drop into pristine lines, lapping fresh pristine powder back to the rendezvous point to do it all over again, and again…
On clear days, the experience is taken up another level with sweeping views of the iconic Mt. Yotei and the surrounding Niseko range. An unmistakable backdrop that defines Japan’s adventure capital.
Who is the tour for?
These tours are ideal for confident intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders who are comfortable riding off-piste and want to maximise their time in Niseko’s best snow. Each day is tailored to the group’s ability and the conditions, creating a smooth, safe, and epic backcountry experience, which is why many of our guests return year after year!
What does the day look like?
Backcountry Snowmobile Tours run for approximately six hours and typically include:
- 6 to 8 backcountry runs in untracked powder
- Snowmobile access with tandem riding alongside your guide
- Expert local guiding
- A dedicated professional photographer capturing the entire day
- Return transportation from your accommodation
